* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Widespread flooding, especially in
  Northwest Orange County from Lake View downstream to the Saltwater
  Barrier. Several homes and camps are flooded or threatened.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday was 7.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.5
    feet Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

  buildings adjacent to gauge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 19.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0
    feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 19.3 feet early
    Friday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

    ending at 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 26.0 feet.

    feet tomorrow evening.

Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast.
For the Menard Creek...including Rye...Minor flooding is forecast.
For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Major flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHERE...Menard Creek near Rye.

* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water
  escapes the main channel in the vicinity of the gage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 2:15 PM CDT Tuesday was 21.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.9
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    21.9 feet on 02/26/1992.
